My engine is still in the break-in period. I was getting 55 MPG with the carb mod (clip moved to the bottom of the needle). I have since moved the clip back to the original position (the middle), and I'm getting better MPG--probably 70 MPG, not sure yet. With the clip in the factory/original position, cold start is tough; but, the savings in gas money is worth having to crank a few extra times.

i only get 60mpg (only lol) but I am a fat dude (pleasantly plump??) and also most driving is either at highway speeds (high rpm) or stop and go. i think both prolly affect my mileage in a bad way.

It has been windy here in the Atlanta area lately and I think it has affected my mileage too.

lol seems like most of the China Riders are pleasantly plump

I think I get around 70ish and im not so plump, 175lbs. I do eat quite a few cookies, I am eating one right now.. I will be a plump rider before I know it.

I've only checked it once so far and was getting about 72 bone stock.

That was on 89oct and it does knock alot. :(

So, i'll be using 91oct in the future and should do better

Yikes, you shouldn't be knockiing on 89 octane. These motors only need around 87. They are only 9ish to 1 comp. Are you runnig an after market CDI??

Back to topic. I have seen anything from 55 mpg when the bike was new to 92 on a long steady 55mph trip. Typical stop and go driving I average 75 - 80 mpg. I weight 210 +, main jet 2 sizes over, clip dropped one notch, K & N style cone filter, YZ250F muffler.

Our birds are getting 74 and 83 respectfully....mine being the lower one since i ride more agressively. I weigh in at 230 lbs and lets just say the wife is quit a bit lighter than i am ( want to live to see my next birthday ) 8O .
These mpg's are for hiway speeds and trail both only mods are the carb needle clip on the bottom spot for hers and on the next to last spot on mine.
