TaoTao T125 ATV - Questions/Comments

I bought a new T125 locally for my daughter. So far I've done the following to correct some weirdness and based on recommendations:

Lubricated the front brake cable so the brake lever would return to its released position

Re-torqued the rear axle nuts to stop a persistent popping noise.

Realized that you get what you pay for.

Changed the spark plug

Changed the front sprocket to a 10T so it'll climb our hills.

She has now burned through a few tanks of fuel with minimal issues, however it tends to die when she lets off the throttle while in gear. Is there something I can do to fix this? If I raise the idle speed it shifts pretty hard. I'd rather not solve it that way.

Also I just changed the oil and though I was told to add .75 quarts of oil, that seems to have put it over the "full" mark. Am I not getting it all drained or was I told wrong?

Thanks
