tbr7 on a dirt bike stand?
i bought a harbor freight dirt bike stand (27 bucks!) about 16 inches high ......as my milk crate was starting to give way.....
i have watched a few videos on it but it seems kinda high (or heavy maybe )for my smaller wheels..... is it me or is there a technique i am missing or something?

I have the same stand for my Hawk and it is a bitch to get up with a full tank of gas. I use the front wheel method. Place the stand to the side near the rear brake lever. I use my left hand to grab the front brake and pick up the front by the front wheel and place it under the stand.
I will tell you that the rubber on the top of the stand is already starting to chip off from getting it on and off. |

I agree, a motorcycle jack is the way to go unless you fab up a center stand like i did for my Hawk.

I just bought the $99 Harbor Freight jack for my bike. It works good. The only gripe I have with it is when bringing it back down it drops the bike faster than you't like. There's almost no easing it down. I need to check the oil level in the jack...

I have the same stand for my Brozz.
Totally a pain to use. Always rolls and gets caught by some part of the bike. I believe I’ve used it twice. Both times it was touch and go.

Yeah, its pretty unstable, as most dirtbike stands are. I recommend ratchet strapping or cam strapping the bike frame to the stand frame, that way it can rock forward or back and the wheel can touch the ground without the stand slipping out from the bike. |

I can promise the jack is less expensive than the wife! Might as well splurge! |
