Question Replace shipping oil? (CSC TT250)

My CSC TT250 has just arrived and it already has the proper amount of oil. I'm not technically inclined, but I do know that I need to do a 200-500 mile break-in period for bike. Should I replace the oil or can I break it in with the shipping oil?

I would drive it for 200 miles and then change oil and clean filter screen. Refer to https://www.cscmotorcycles.com/we-ma...ance-tutorials. Very easy to do on these types of bikes. Personally prefer Castrol Actevo 10w40 it's a semi synthetic oil motorcycle oil designed for wet clutches.

There is a guy on another forum who just changed his original oil after breaking it in on his 2020 CSC TT250. He took a sample of the oil and sent it to Blackstone Laboratories. They found everything to be normal for an engine breaking in and nothing unusual in their findings. I would say your probably good to go with the oil shipped in your TT250.

I believe CSC actually does ship their brand of bikes out with an oil change already done. The general consensus here on Chinariders regarding Chinese bikes has been to change the shipping oil out before first ride. That is done by CSC. Then change it out at 100 miles. Then 300 miles. Then every 600 (I believe some go a full 1000, but I either do not remember correctly, or it is 1000 km's). Slightly off-topic but related to break-in oil, Jeff, the general sales manager of Peace Industries has insisted that the Brozz 250's shipping oil is break-in oil and should be left in up to 300 mile break-in. When pressed on a thread (that contained videos of his company bike going through break-in) he confirmed that we read had heard correctly. Don't change the oil on a Brozz 250 (Jeff's advice, not mine). Since Peace and CSC have good customer service and you have a good chance of getting someone on the phone, I would definitely confirm this, however.

The oil change advice is mainly for the cheapest bikes like the Hawk and TBR7 where they are basically sent straight to your door, no proper setup or fluids. I do believe csc tests their bikes before mailing, and they only send assembled bikes.

Shipping oil...
would a manufacture put a oil in there bikes that
has the potential to damage the motor and give them a bad name..
even Chinese manufactures ?..

But a oil change is never going to hurt...

On my 2020 TT250, I went 75 miles to my first oil change, valve adjust and re-jet. The oil was dirty at 75 miles.

I changed mine at 100 miles, had it tested and it was fine. Changing it early won't hurt anything. I'm going to change it again at 500 miles and check the valves as well.

Just out of curiosity did you change carbs or jet the factory one ? and what did you go with ? I ordered a jet kit from CSC but they are on backorder. Im not sure where else to get them.

Stock carb

I have ton of bike parts, i had a 112.5 jet in my jet box. I installed that, raised the needle one notch, and slotted the IMS, and set it to 2.5 turns out (i think).
