aux Light install and redid all graphics

installed the aux lights was only about 50 beans total and is really necessary if you want to ride at night....very bright i think

LED lights
https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-Drivi.../dp/B00G620ZVU

relay wiring kit
https://www.amazon.com/Nilight-10007.../dp/B073XMM3T5

bar mounts
https://www.amazon.com/LAMPHUS-Off-R.../dp/B0791NB4FM

switch
https://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Wa.../dp/B07JKPRWMK

the relay nestles in under the seat nicely, and to clear the fairings i built a small bracket out of bar aluminum....all the wires ran under the seat where all the other ones are..... probably took 4 hours or soo... the brackets needed about 7 wraps of electrical tape to make them fit perfectly

also removed and redid with custom decals.... me and my wrench turning friends were over and we all agreed the stock decals make it look like a toy and looks waaaaaay better removed and redone.....

Kenny,

Could not agree more with removing the decals, my son called my bike "the transformer" so I went with the naked option, your simple graphics look great.

The aux lights are sick, but to be honest, you should replace the stock light with LED so they match

Is there an LED bulb option for the stock bulb ?

Nicely done!

Interesting mount choice, but it works well. No issues with hitting the tank plastics?

How do you like those lights. The cheap round spots I initially installed on my Hawk have dimmed a lot very quickly so I am looking to replace them. If I can manage to bring myself to spend the money on them, I really want to mount a set of Rigid Ignite lights to my forks, one Spot, one flood. They are worth the money, insanely bright and very small, but at almost $70 each.... owie lol.

More than likely I am going to step up to a pair of these with the 60 degree spread as a compromise in width and distance. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ns/1699/12999/

no problems with the plastics but did have to build a small bracket lowering them.... they are blueish light ( not a huge fan of ) but they do light up the trail well and considering the price are a win. sometimes you get lucky with inexpensive stuff sometimes you have to spend the coin....

..... also did my first oil change at 70 miles. i expected it to be more cruddy and black but not that bad, i did find a 5 or so small pieces of metal flakes/ crumbs on the magnetic drainplug, but that doesn't bother me i am pretty sure thats normal breakin stuff..... actually it was the second oil change as i never ran it with the stock oil.

Those are the spots I would have gotten if I had a few more bucks. I got their 800 Lumen/11W ones cause they were about 1/2 the price; 60 degree. They are pretty good, but not as much throw as I expected. Think I will likely get the brighter ones you listed next time (maybe when I get my next bike).

Thanks. Nice selection of parts. I especially like the relay package. I didn't find the need for a relay on my bike, but good to know. I saved all the links for the future.

not a super high drain set of lights but for me as a general rule i run my aux lights on a relay always.... i dont want alot of electricity run through a feeble switch....

I didn't use a switch, as I wanted them on anytime the ignition is on...just like the headlight. More light to be seen during the day (by cars) and more light for my AM ride. Good all around.

My first set were 20W (supposedly 1600 Lumens) each, meaning only 3.33 Amps draw. Had no issues. Went smaller on the 2nd set (just what I found at the right price and better quality). These are 11W (800 Lumens) so only 1.83 Amps draw. Nothing.
