Tight bolts - almost stripped

I started to replace my 56 tooth rear with a 44 tooth rear I got. The problem is the bolts that hold the sprocket on are so friggen tight I cannot get two of them off. One is even starting to strip. All the loose bolts on these things and 4 I need to remove I cannot get off. I don't own an impact wrench. I'll have to go pick up a 1/2 breaker bar and another 14mm socket because I broke the Chinese socket I was using. Now I'll have to wait to ride my bike since it's disabled without the rear tire on.

Did anyone else find their rear sprocket bolts to be on REALLY tight?

I got something simular.
I rode my bike to the bike store, picked up a chain and they cut it to 94 links. I Rode home ripped off the old chain and cleaned out the 36 years of guck. When I set up the new chain it was 10 links too long. After the cleaning I didn't want to put the old chain back on. I walked the 20 blocks back to the store. Took me all day to change a chain and clean behind a sprocket case. :? There are ebay stores better than my local bike shop.N2r.
