That guys throttle technique makes me want to punch my monitor lol.
That 0 to 60 test is also the funniest thing I have watched today. I would just love to have one honest review and demonstration of this bike to justify the price. $3k delivered isn't the worst out there for sure, but with Z400's being not much more lightly used, and the MT-03 now being released with almost double the power of this thing for another $1500. It's not like the Hawk or Brozz where the nearest equivalent Japanese bike is three times the price like the XT250. Once that kind of price gap no longer exists, the appeal is much lower, especially considering the performance difference. That might be why I haven't seen any videos or other hint of anybody actually buying one though. Like me, they just don't see the value being there.

That china bike sounds pretty good. The muffler looks like it weight 20 pounds though. |

You can get a brand new MT03 for $1500 more. Roughly the same engine size, but "24"hp vs 41hp. Better suspension, brakes, warranty... If I were heart set on a 300-350cc 2cyl bike, the MT03 would win, even with the 50% price increase. Same goes for the Z400. That is why I have a hard time justifying this bikes price. It's just a hair too much given the available market of Japanese bikes with all of their perks beyond build quality, like dealer support.

On that point, what do these retailers do with old stock as we progress through the year?
Example: I'm sure Q9 or TX Powersports buy a ton of these bulk from China and store them in their US warehouse. Imagine not all of them sell out, what happens to the 2017 hawks with drum brakes that they never sell ? Do these retails ever do any liquidation sales on old inventory? |

Q9 and TX generally drop-ship. To get rid of new, old-stock, I believe they will put them on a 'lower than low' sale without really clarifying what you will be getting. An example is Powersportsmax. They offer the Lifan KPR200 street bike at several prices. I believe the lower price ones are old models.
A chance you would take is getting 'too good to be true' deals on bikes like the TBR7. At least last year. I recall some people getting drum brakes. Also, even if the bikes have the same equipment, you might get last year's model. You will never get a straight answer out of these large, vague, dealers either because they don't know the answer since they don't touch the bikes in the first place.

A guy in one of my fb groups just got a "brand new" TBR7 from Q9 (If I recall correctly) for $1100, but it has a drum brake on the rear. Still a hell of deal though.

That is a HECK OF A BIKE for the $$. Pick em up used for half MSRP. I never rode one but saw BUNCHES of the MT15s in Thailand. I think they are really cool looking. Would be a great commuter and/or track bike.
