my tranny is locked up, Help

2007 gy-5 the tranny is stuck in second , the clutch is working fine. It was working fine then it wouldn't shift at all, gear lever feels like something is hung up.

Mountainwolf had a similar problem on a shineray but this being a different motor I am not sure if the shifter configuration is the same. I have tried pushing in and pulling out on the lever while working it up and down and no go.

While his engine looks different on the outside it looks the same as mine on the inside. I would look for the same sort of problem.
Good luck

Driller,
After my finals are done I think I am going to tear into my bike and do this mod, mine is not stuck yet, but I have had problems while down shifting. might as well cure the problem before it is a real problem. Around the 17th of this month I will be cracking into it. When you do decide to tear into it let me know how it goes.

Driller, search through the threads. Member Mustang_USMC bought my bike--I had installed a Lifan engine, and the tranny went out. I thought it was over, but it turned out to be a clutch issue.
