TaoTao Bull 200 Front Brake Lines Rubbing.

This is my first thread. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything on the Bull 200 brake lines rubbing on the tires. Each side has a black clip type holder, two separate springs and a spool looking spacer in between the two springs. I think I'm missing the intent of the design. How do I secure the lines to the swing arm to keep them from rubbing in a turn? Thanks.

On my Bull they seemed to be too long.I think their over 600mm long.I have thought about replacing them with 2 shorter lines which are pretty cheap on Ebay.You can get 2 500mm from China for $9.26 w/free shipping.There might be cheaper one's on there if you look.I think 500mm would be the right length and still have free travel with no binding.These would be about 4" shorter than originals.Here's the item number on Ebay-232111998724.

They do make banjo fittings to where as you could shorten them yourself,but the fittings are just about as high as just buying the whole line.These fittings they say are for ptfe line or teflon line,I don't know what our brake lines are inside,probably rubber.

I'll get some pics up. Dugndeep, that's a great option, nice find. The springs and the spool spacer on the lines seem to serve a purpose. The gap in spring coverage is pretty broad if they're supposed to serve as a guard though. The spring length would make more sense on a brake line that was 500mm in length.

I'm just holding off on buying things like this right now,never know the motor might crap out and leave you hanging,but their there if you want options.Mine rub too every now and then,just have to keep an eye on them and keep the plastic bracket adjusted just right on your swing arms.Take off about 4" of brake line and it should be about right without that bulbous line right next to the wheel we have now.

I found this @ 2:17. He seems confident. I'll try it. . That spool thing does fit under the retainer.
