Land speed record
I know I'm not the only one. Long straight, downhill, a bit of a tail wind, time to whip those feet onto the rear pegs, tuck in behind the windshield and let her rip. What's the fastest you guys have been?
Me: 1up with ~40kg of luggage: 161km/h (100mph) indicated 2up with ~50kg of luggage 134km/h (83mph) indicated No idea what the actual speeds were as i don't have a phone mount for GPS. (And of course officer, this was all done on a closed road ![]() Last edited by SenselessOverloadi; 09-01-2019 at 06:18 PM. |

Indicated 149km/h. I must say at that point the bike hadn't run out of willing I just chickened - I'm rather fond of my licence and 50km/h over the limit is instant disqualification, so... with a 100km/h limit I guess the answer is fast enough!

These bikes are out 15% or so......
I have only seen 125km 1 up no gear and I calibrated my speedo with a special box to trim the display.... |

Best I have ever managed was an indicated 72MPH. It was on flat ground with a tail-wind.

That's weird, our normal freeway speeds are 70-75 and it will do that even up slight hills.
