Agreed, but what if this unknown brand starts falling apart as soon as it hits the shores? Like calcune stated before I would much rather go with shineray and have 100cc less, just because it is the better known brand. That extra 100cc won't get you very far if its constantly being wrenched on. Then agian if someone happened to get one of the 300's and it worked out for them I'd be a lot more willing to pick one up. But that sexy vintage look imo is almost worth not having the 100cc's, and if the 250 version could be imported ... even better.

I think it would need to be price dependent. My GY5 is great, but to get the opportunity for a little more power for the right price is enticing.

I would love to see a larger picture and maybe some specs......This could be the bike everyone has been waiting for.

I might not remember correctly, but I was thinking his is the 250 w/ 200 sidecovers (for local legal reasons)?

I really like that camo bike as well. The full racks and the large tank. I've saved some pictures of those racks to share w/ a friend who was going to see about helping me weld up something similar.

I'm not a fan of these half-racks like I have. I want a full rack or a plain fender.

My bike says 150 on the side for licensing reasons and insurance reasons in China. The XY200GY-7 is only available with a 200cc or 250cc engine.

Are both the 200 and 250 4 valve engines? If so the 250 would probably run with the 300, that is if the 300 is still a 2 valve engine.

The GY7 is available as a 200cc SOHC or a 250 SOHC, both are air cooled and come with a 5 speed.

There is a new 26hp 250cc DOHC watercooled engine with 6 speed transmission coming from Shineray soon, but sady it won't fit into this bike.

You can see that engine here.

If anyone would like to import some Shineray bikes please contact me. The new generation of Shinerays will only be able to be sold in the states and Canada as Shinerays. They wil not be available to rebadge.

This is Shineray's KTM style 250. Shineray has some very well engineered bikes that don't follow the normal China bike ideal of staying with old designs and producing old obsolete models from larger Japanese bike builders. Instead they're engineering all of their own frames and trying their best to develop their own product.

Totally!!

Both that and the new Green GY 7 250cc in the other post. With 250-400cc's & 6 speed tranny's im starting to get excited as long as they stay under 2 grand they will be the best thing since the original GY. I don't like the shineray one as much though as far as looks. I wounder when we will see the new bikes in the USA, should I start saving now?
