Yes I can easily mount the muffler in either hole without any modification, but it looks funny mounted further back, we tried that first. And the pipe we got for the TBR7 wasn't nearly as long, it will only go in about an inch because of the bend.

I have the ebay exhaust on the TT250. Yes, performance difference once you get your jetting dialed in. Thye downside is my older ears aren't digging the extra noise now. I'm thinking of digging out the stock unit and gutting the cat instead.

I have the same jacket from Amazon, same brand ...I didnt choose the pimped out colors thou ( I went with all black)
Jay might have a hell of a time shakin the ladies off him. Its comfortable, lightweight and has some low grade armor points, I suppose would be ok for a low speed spill (Certainly not wishing that on him ) |

Personally, I question the validity of the CE Rating on the armor, BUT. either of them will still be better than jeans and a T shirt. Considering my riding pants and jacket cost 4 to 5 times what those jacket and pants cost, and they are "budget" friendly brands (Tourmaster and Firstgear). I would be curious to see how they hold up over time. The biggest issue I have had with cheap gear has always been its long term durability. The type of stitching on the zips, the reinforcement in certain areas, etc. tend to be where they save money. Then there is other less subtle design features, such as how well they breathe, that can make a big difference. Again, just being nit picky, as they are still definitely going to be better than nothing at all. If you are on a really tight budget, then by all means give them a try. Even if they fall apart after one crash, as long as they save your hide and prevent a more serious injury during that one crash they were worth buying. Just for comparison, here is my ATGATT setup not including the helmet. Gloves (summer): https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...forated-gloves Jacket: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...-air-20-jacket Pants: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...-air-overpants Boots: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...epic-air-boots If you include what my helmet cost (Schuberth C3 Pro), my full riding gear setup costs almost as much as a Hawk, which is kind of funny. But, I also use this stuff on my much MUCH faster VFR, so it was an investment for me. I have friends with jackets that cost as much as all of my gear combined, so I feel frugal by comparison. As a side note, the Tourmaster Epic Air boots are on closeout sale, I paid the full $200 for them when they were first released. Damn incredible boot for on-road riding, and one of the few brands that makes wide boots for huge feet like mine. Short of a much more expensive Goretex boot they were worth every penny.

Dan we had that same discussion before ordering and came to the same conclusion. It's a cheap lightweight comfortable jacket (as 4 people on here and fb said) and even if it only helps protect you some one time it was $60 well spent.
We both bought cheap $50 helmets too knowing it would probably only be one time protection. When I high-sided a month ago my head slammed hard into the pavement and slid for a good ways. It broke the MX visor and the rivet holding both visors on the side and has bad road rash all down the front of the entire helmet. But it did it's job and did it well. I never lost conciousness, didn't have a head injury, and I'd hate to think what my face would look like sliding that far on the pavement. Apparently $120 heavy Carhartt jackets are made pretty well too, it suffered no damage lol. |
