Did you get instructions with the digital dash? That 1st picture, the green on one side and white on the other plug is the one you want. The white side has open plugs. You match them with the colors. I do think the one that says brown w white (not 100%) is actually gold/yellowish...
Then the blue w white stripe goes on the plug above the one youre working on, near the carb. It doesnt actually have a plug to plugin to, youll have to stick it on top or bottom of the existing one, then tape the entire plug up so it doesnt come loose. Mind you, I just did this on my Hawk this week, and the instructions were pretty simple and clear... |

Plugged in the colors, still not getting much. No LED dash but the high beams and right turn signal flash at the same time. Left over purple for 6th I guess, but what about the brown/white?

That brown/white wire plugs into the yellowish one on the bike in that plug. As you see the instructions say the purple one isnt used cause its 6th gear...

The power wire is the blue wire with the white line. That one fits in the plug above the green/white one near the carb. It doesnt have an open plug though. You will have to shove it down into the socket that contains the blue/white wire on the bike's harness plug, then tape it up good so it doesnt come loose.

The blue/white wire is located in a plug that has (6 wires..I think) going in and out. Its directly above the green/white one you've been working on, behind the carb...

Did you get it working? I followed this thread exactly and nothing comes on but a turn signal indicator!

You have to rewire the new cluster's harness to match the old one. So the two shorter wires in the new harness: on is for the speedometer, the other one is the one you have to rewire.
