while we are talking battery's….
I have always wondered...
why on a motorbike that dose not have a electric start
why you use a starting battrey.... surely a deep cycle
battrey would be better...
something to do with the charging ?


any ideas...

Very possible. Older motorcycles that convert to lithium tend to experience short battery life for that exact reason. I have to upgrade everything on my Goldwing when I converted it to a lithium.

As far as I know I don't see a reason why you couldn't. Charging shouldn't be a factor. I think it might simply be because most deep cycles are used for long discharge applications and are simply not made in such small sizes as seen in motorcycles.

they do make them in motor bike sizes...
but they are not cheap...
