while we are talking battery's….
I have always wondered... why on a motorbike that dose not have a electric start why you use a starting battrey.... surely a deep cycle battrey would be better... something to do with the charging ? any ideas... .

Very possible. Older motorcycles that convert to lithium tend to experience short battery life for that exact reason. I have to upgrade everything on my Goldwing when I converted it to a lithium.

As far as I know I don't see a reason why you couldn't. Charging shouldn't be a factor. I think it might simply be because most deep cycles are used for long discharge applications and are simply not made in such small sizes as seen in motorcycles.
