You might be right Darth I was thinking about that but I hope we're both wrong. I'm thinking my weight and the tool box on the back should hold it from tipping. I'm no metal worker and that metal I grabbed out my brother in law's place he said it should be tough enough but he's no pro either lol. Like I said tho I'm no metal worker so I'm pretty proud of it cuz I've never done nothing like that before even if it might not work very well it's a good start and a learning process I guess. I'ma still try it and hope the thing don't tip or metal bends. Worse case I'll be back at the drawing board and try something new it was fun making anyways. And then I'll be making the hitch for the back after I find out if this works out.

If I have it right, it should anchored to the center of the ATV .. (center of mass) To the rear would be better but the way ATV frames are, attaching to the swing arm would be a no go.

If its anchored to the the very front then when lifting it would be unbalanced... the weight of the bucket setup alone would unbalance it probably. The added load will not help the matter any.

Part of the reason I purchased the cheapo plow from Cabellas was that I would have a platform to do a bucket setup when I am ready to go down that route.... can plow in the mean time.

Counterbalance weight on the rear will be the only way to keep it on the ground if you pivot from the front. You wont have the leverage of the center of the ATV to the front tire.

Yeah I see your point. I had a second idea for the mount If I ran the bottom bracket from the front all the way back to that frame part you see in the pic after the front tires would that be close enuff to almost the center to counter the weight some.

Can't really make out what point you are talking about... the picture is a little small.

As long as its not the swing arm point then you should be fine. The last thing you want to do is rip the swing arm off when you hit something hard with the bucket.

If you can see this one better. Look at the frame with the label ok now the one straight all the way back from that one. Make the mount attached to that one

Nothing is mounted to the swing arm it's all the frame only

Yeah that's better. See if any of the others have any input.. but I think that spot looks okay.

Yeah I'm going to get thicker metal and run it all the way to that one. I think that should definitely keep it from tipping and new metal from bending or even braking. thanks Darth for the input I was thinking this needed to be reworked. thanks for the second appinion. I'll post what I came up with after.

My plow mounting plate I welded right to the center bottom of the frame, I think I have about 6-8 contact points where I welded it. Not pretty welds but they are doing their job holding everything solid even with me beating the crap out of it with snow plowing and earlier plowing QP gravel. I have a video in my thread showing how it looks.

An actual loader with downforce, you'd definitely have to beef up the suspension for this mod.

So I added a heavier metal to go from the hitch to the frame further back now I think that will keep it from tipping. Put the 2in in just for show lol now on to the hitch for the back.

Followed the design of the hitch from the post on this forum and made my own. May not be as pretty but it'll do.

I had an issue with my battery come to find out it was dead from the new winch I added thanks Darth for the input on that. It was the Badlands 2500 wireless winch from harbor freight that sapped the power so I'll be adding an on off on switch. Wanted to mention that for anyone in the future that may have the same problem.
