The pic in the first post definitely has Qingqi all over it.
Suzuki-type motor. Same fork/caliper setup and crash pan. What size are the wheels? They look XF250-ish. Same aluminum swingarm too.
This tells me a high quality unit.

Yep, it's a Qingqi. I checked out some better pictures on the internet. It's fuel injected, no passenger pegs, and a sparse instrument gauge. No gas gauge, nor tach. You could make one out of one of the SSR models with a different tank and seat. It would almost be a true 250cc (249) with maybe the possibility of going up to 300cc....If the parts are available.

That thing looks awesome and 300cc is better than 239cc anytime

Put quility seals in them...
never had issues with USD forks
my bikes have had them since the early nintys when the first
came out on production bikes..

I would rather replace the odd seal every now and then
than put up with second rate suspension every time I ride the bike...

fuel tank under the seat... low COG makes the bike very flickable
and centrelised weight..

steering damper as standard...

no crap like .. gear indcaters/fuel gauges etc

Did I mention it has to be Light...

But not as good as 350 cc! Historically, there were two different types of 350's from 1945 on. The de-nutted 500, and the punched out 250. The B40 BSA was the first of the expanded 250's that I know of. So if they could do it back in the dark ages, they can do it now. The problem is that the Chinese have no Asian market need for an engine that big. Of course there is a market there that they have not exploited yet. The slogger market. Three wheeled trucks, and motor cycles designed to be able to attach a sidecar. If that happens, there will be cost effective engines available for dual sports motor cycles....ARH

gear indicators are a nice accent imo. along with a clock, compass, and temperature reading.

I think the 350cc would be a great idea. A little bit more real estate and a little more power.

NO NO NO None of those are Scramblers. They are cool looking cafe racers with
large suspension. Why do I say ? Because a SCRAMBLER CANNOT have an exhaust
system that can be drug off the bike by a tree stump. A SCRAMBLER has to have a high and protected exhaust system allowing for minimal off road use. Further if a Dual Sport bike is 85 percent dirt bike and 15 percent road, a SCRAMBLER is the reverse. A good road bike with lower seat because it does not need a giant suspension with 10 inch travel. 5 inch travel is fine for slow woods work providing for a lower seat height. The Bullit and Herald motorcycle lines in the UK are good examples of Scramblers. Also in the USA the expensive but cute little JANUS motorcycle. ( Google Janus)

Honestly the high exhausts look stupid to me, plus seem counter intuitive. The high exhausts are there because they don't have a lot of suspension travel so they don't get banged up. So why not just have more suspension travel?

I like the way that looks a lot. I'd probably order one of these if it was a true 300. I'd want to know the horsepower specs on it though. I'd pay 1999 to 2500 for something like that.
