Csc gs250
Came across this on YouTube and Revzilla is currently testing it for reliability. I like cafe racers, but I'm sure some modification could be done to make it look better. I figured I would share it. https://www.cscmotorcycles.com/defau...=xAllInventory

Hrrrrmmmmm..... now suddenly I find the SSR 250 is sold at a dealership local to me. It's more expensive, but it's a LOT cooler looking than the SG250. Especially in white with the red tank. What to do, what to do...

ya gotta include a photo or link to website etc. Now how am I supposed to know how to look at a SSR250? I have a rare want/need perhaps but I'd like a retro looking cafe racer that was comfortable to ride and have the Scrambler treatment which I define as having high mufflers that dont break off when going over stumps and a bottom engine bash plate protector.... possibly also having slightly wider handlebars than strict racers...... for minimal off road "touring" as I call it ... VERY similar to the SCRAMBLERS of the 1970s. The original Dual Sports I think. |

I am a little concerned about the motor being a V-Twin in that it is first I
have ever heard of coming out of China and I would want to know if this is the first for some company and new buyers are guinea pigs for testing. Also, in this range of relatively small displacement of 250cc, I dont know if the V-twin would be harder to work on or in any way less reliable etc. Can we find the actual mfgr of the engine ? Apparently ( to me) the V-twin engine explains the significant upcharge more than a $ thousand bucks compared to single cylinder model. Clearly there are many more parts and components but if the performance in some way does not increase I would not want to pay the extra money. This price range is not the absolute bottom of the barrel so it could be possible that the single cylinder bike has a counter balancer and that would likely make it vibrate less than the V-twin. Anyone know for sure if there is a counter balancer in this single cyl engine of the SG250? I know the 250cc single cyl engine built by LIFAN "does" have a counter balancer. |

All very cool bikes. I'm an hour away from CSC and would love to see their bikes in person soon. The SSR Cafe racers look cool but I would rather have the bobber version of my SSR Xf250 dual sport, the Snake eyes. It uses a tried and true single cylinder Suzuki design from the Suzuki Tu250x and makes the same hp as the twins. Not only is the Snake eyes simple but it has a lower MSRP and new 2016's are going for $1,999 in some areas. This dealer in Vegas posted some really nice photos of a 2016 they have, although it's going for $2,995.

There have been several China cruisers offered with this engine. And a V-Twin 250 will have more HP and do much better on the highway than a 250 single, but does add weight....I'd love on of the SSR250's, but not in my budget right now......
