rack size

I measure again this morning. Even if my rack was 3 inches shorter, I would still have been able to fit the last two bolts. (shorter as in not hanging over the tail light). The plastic mount plate is pretty solid, I'm convinced attaching it with only 2 bolts will also be good enough.
The mounting plate at JCW seems to be of better quality than mine.

When I bolted mine down, I've first put foam rubber on the rack, just to prevent any squeaks or rattles.

I ride everyday with my trunk. 5000 miles. I am too cheap to care about looks.

Also already married with 2 kids so I don't need to attract anyone.

Don't ride 2up. I removed the rear pegs and supports after I realized that they had never been used.

If you don't like it how it looks than don't put one on your bike. I pride myself in being cheap.

I don't mind you making a comment about my trunk. Just because someone says it ugly doesn't bother me one bit. It gets used everyday.

The trunk with the quick release looks nice. I am going to have to do some engineering to mine.

Speedsouth. The winder walmart has the tankbags.

Ugly? I think it's genius and resourceful. Plus, it can double as a beer cooler on a ride in the sticks.

I did salvage some the remote seat latched from an escort fold down rear seat. I think I may be able to use them to make a quick release for my tote.

I stumped at a garage sale yesterday and the people there were all busy checking out the trunk and making comments.

They say that I was smart about using the bike to haul stuff with all the storage on the back.

I don't think they realized it was a walmart tote.

I think for the $15 spent I have gotton my moneys worth of use and when the sun finally does the plastic in I can get a new one.

Gas is around 3.33 a gal today.I purchased this bike to save me gas and make it as functionable as possible to do as much as I can with it.The more I can keep my truck parked in the driveway the more money I save.Times are getting hard and being a trim carpenter it don't look good in the near future, being vein is not my concern.

Gad is 3.39 here. This bike is my DD too. I try to leave my Jeep at home. Usually one of the trailers stays attached since that is it main purpose.

I work 3 jobs to keep up with all the rising costs. 2 of them involve transporting stuff which requires a vehicle that sucks gas, but its money.

On my gy5 I kept the rear pegs because they acted as a guard for the rear master cylinder

My bike made me money yesterday, it hauled me down to the casino for who know how little gas, and half an hour later it hauled me home with my winnings

So I guess I should spend some money on it

Bag

I'm using a $10 day bag from walmart and in it I carry a net. The bag removes with clips and can be quickly used as a backpack so I can put larger items on the rack with the net I keep inside.

I forget what it is here as I don't buy gas often, I believe around $1.20 per metric litre... Factor in the us/canadian exchange rate, and convert metric litres to us gallons, I think it is cheaper there... but I am not sure.

I got "1 gallons (US Liquid) = 3.78541 liter"

I checked some local prices around $1.17 - $1.26 / Liter in Canadian Dollars

I will go with $1.20 for simplicity...

1.00 CAD = 0.991674 USD

So 1.20 CAD = 1.19001 USD

And $1.19001(usd) X 3.78541 Liters( or 1 us gallon) = $4.5046757541(usd)

So with the price I would pay in Canada you would get 1 us gallon for $4.50 American dollars.

edit: Oh yeah, I forgot they are adding another tax to our gas too
