Same thing happened to me. I kept the old swing arm and just drilled and taps the messed up threads on the old hub and sprocket since they got damaged badly.
Luckily it all happened at ~15mph so nothing too bad happened. |

They do and they often bust up - here in China you can get the solid inserts and changes to no cush drive which lasts longer, maybe a bit harsher but who cares for such a bsic bike and removes a weak spot in the hub where the rubber busts up.
