Which Chinese problems do the RPS dual-sports have from this list?
These are all problems I've had with every Chinese bike or ATV and I'm wondering if they apply to RPS hawk and magician..
Just some things I've came across in twenty years of owning and maintaining stuff based off cloning Japanese and Italian design with Shenzhen market grade manufacturing and QA.. I'm about to get a Magician and just assume I have to fix all wiring. |

it looks like you have been on quite a ride with your cloned bikes ,but for the most part the hawk doesn’t seem to suffer from any of the ailments listed.Do a search and read about our real world experiences and fixes and tweaks on the bike you have chosen ,you might just be surprised how good they are .

1. No auto choke, it's a manual lever on these cheapo carbs.
2. Depends on the 5 year old working that day... you might get lucky and get the (almost) 6 year old master welder 3. Some wiring issues have been seen, but they are easily fixed 4. Haven't read of a bad CDI on these RPS bikes... yet... 5. R/Rs over heat and go bad all the time... that being said, I haven't read of a bad R/R on these bikes... yet... 6. Cheap metals is always possible... haven't you read were the Chinese have been sneaking in crap metals for the past 20 years or so... Subaru and several other car makers are Suing over this issue... I have a brand new $36k 2017 Forester that is known to have a weak firewall design because of this "Cheap Metal" issue... just something we have to deal with in todays shady society

I've had none of the issues with the HAWK. Can't comment on the magician as I never own or seen one up close. Just because they come from the same manufacturer doesn't mean they are built by the same people.

The almost 6 year old “Master” welder only works on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so check your manufacture date! Now that 4, almost 5 year old kid, who works Fridays, doesn’t know squat about welding! He keeps blowing holes in the high quality Chinese metal!
Check your manufacturing date!
