Cetme g3 repair

So any of you tinkerers ever replace a charging tube on a cetme or hk or ptr G3. There is a bit of cutting and welding and I'm thinking of attacking this project. The liberals is my state would be all to happy if I mess it up and ruin a perfectly good battle rifle.

I will work on motor bikes but I have no background in gun smithing.

I did build one of those black powder pirate pistols.
