Question Hawk Forks

Any thoughts on USD forks on the Hawk like this one? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Shock...0/112684711393

Has anyone done this yet?
Thanks

When you get a fork oil leak, and you will, you lose all dampening in the USD forks. That is dangerous when riding the roads. I like USD forks but prefer them on road bikes. As hard as I ride a dual sport, I would blow the seals out. In standard forks, you get a leak and you have a while to deal with it before the dampening is gone.

Looks ok 2 me, at least you'll have a back up. Here is the same deal but $40 cheaper.

They are USD forks in name only...
really they are just damping rod forks built up side down
is all the RX3 has... prob most of the cheaper chinese bikes...

Putting those in the hawk the only up grade is to the seller bank account...

Buy a used jap front end.... If you are after more than looks...

I think the $40 difference is the triple tree, or lack there of. I like the looks of the USD forks! I looked at the USD forks from CSC, but the $500 price tag makes MegaDan’s fork upgrades more attractive! Keep us posted on what you end up doing.

Ride Safe!
