CSC tt250cc dual sport’s condition on arrival
How is the carburetor on a new CSC TT250 dual sport when the bike arrives at your home? Is it adjusted very lean so that the bike hesitates to accelerate and bucks when you twist the throttle to accelerate? Does the fuel mixture have to be richened? Or is it necessary to purchase a new after market carb to get the bike running smoothly?
When I purchased my CSC RX3, the fuel injection was so lean and spotty that I could hardly get it up to speed. I’m hoping the tt250 arrives at my home with all the necessary adjustments made so that I can mount and ride after un-crating and checking the fuel, oil and tightness of the, wheels, handlebars, chain tension and other hardware. I do not want to have to adjust the carb, timing, fuel lines and other things that should be correctly set at the factory or the selling dealer’s garage. I’m hoping for some good reviews on the mechanical condition of the tt250 when it arrives at the purchasers address. |

I just got my TT about a week ago. I put gas in it and it started right away. If I twisted the throttle slightly it would die. This went on for about a minute until I realized... hey you idiot... turn the fuel petcock to on. Haha. Since then I've put about 150 miles on it with zero issues. I've noticed the exhaust pops a little if I engine brake, but throttle response is great and it starts right up with no choke. It's a great bike, you'll enjoy it.

Mine ran good right out of the box and I'm at high altitude. As "onthefly" said, make sure the petcock is in the right position (it has 3 settings: off, reserve and on). Also, make sure you don't get choke settings backwards like I did - duh...

Sounds like the choke is on. I made that mistake with the same symptoms. Once I realized the problem and shut off the choke and cleaned the spark plug, the bike fired right up, idled perfectly around 1200-1500 rpm and ran perfectly from then on. A month later it has over 1000 miles and hasn’t missed a beat either on the road or on the trails. It has far surpassed any expectations I had.
Choke lever should be down to be off. |

AIS "Air Injection System" .... or what ever the Chinese call it
injects air in to the exhaust to burn un used fuel on a closed throttle.. My XT660 on a closed throttle sounds like american with a gun at a high school.. ..

Ah! Didn't know that, thanks! I'm glad I didn't go tinkering with the carb trying to fix it.

Mrs. 2LZ ran fine out of crate but I messed with it anyway because I can't help myself.
My neighbors ran fine out of crate also. We put on the pipe and I disabled the air injection but left it on. Stock carb and breather. Runs fine. I'm at 3000'.
