Speedometer Calibration
I understand the speedometers on these bikes are off at least 5 mph. Is there a way to calibrate them?

The caveman method. Move the needle until it reads more accurately at the speeds you want it to. No matter what you do, it will still be off somewhere. The internal gearing of the speedometers are not quite the correct ratio.

Is there an after-market kit that will work that you know of?

If the speedometr is electronic you could attempt to use a speedo healer. Otherwise, none that I know of.
