Thumbs Up Just Bought a 200 Denali (Awesome to be back)

So I just bought a 200 Denali and I am pretty excited. I lived on this forum after I bought my Lifan Gy200. I had my little bike for a few years and could always rely on this community to help me stay on the road. I bought my Lifan when I was eighteen and sold it later to a buddy that really needed a ride. I have always regretted it but 7 years later I finally have another Chinese enduro. Please follow this link and tell me what you think of my purchase. I am glad to be back home and once a again have an excuse to spend way to much time on this forum.

Thank I like it but how is your 250 Hawk that's what I was saving for before I ran across the Denali for too good a deal to refuse.

I pick it up new a little over a year ago For $1099. For that price I wasn't expecting much. Man was I wrong. It's been a good solid bike. The fun part about these bikes is being able to customizing it for very little money. I have really enjoyed it from the day I got it. Im taking it next week on a camping and off road trail riding trip. Enjoy your new ride.

Congrats! I still have my TMEC 200 but sold the 17"/17" wheels/tires months ago. It had been in a wreck (with me on it) and has a lot of bumps and bruises, so I decided to part it out. It has been sitting for months, so not sure if the parts are even usable considering our summers hit 120 Faranheit and it sat outside all summer. I am of the belief that these bikes are underrated because TMEC never bothered to have Zongshen supply them with larger engines, but I think TMEC is stuck in a catch-22; they get their bikes EPA/DOT certification (49 states) every year because one simply has to renew it. Obviously, if they wanted a slightly larger engine, they would have to certify the bikes all over. I am of the belief that the 196cc Zongshen engine is stout enough. The good thing about the stock gearing is that the counter-sprocket is a street friendly 17 tooth, but the rear is a beastly/vibraty 56 tooth. The only place I could manage to find a more streetable rear sprocket was in the UK since it was about $10 cheaper than ordering it directly from the US distributor of JT Sprockets. It only goes down to 48 teeth, so while you will feel it, I believe a 46, or 44, would make these enduros commuter friendlier. I used to commute on mine 32 miles a day, 52 weeks a year, and I found the seat very comfortable. Keep us posted and keep the videos coming!

Nice score! A friend of a friend had an older model like that, brought it on some trail rides with us,pretty decent bike IMO. It went everywhere we went with no problems (not quite as fast,but...),me on a modded CRF250X,a YZ250 (2 stroke),and several 450F's went
This is the only pic I could find of it,I'm sure there's more but I couldn't find them

Welcome back! I spotted your Wall Drug decal in the background.
I still have my Lifan; it has been modified quite a bit, but I still love it.

Hey thanks for all the comments.
culcune- Thanks for all the sprocket info, i know that is a mod I want to pursue in the future now Im just relearning to ride.
TheDC- those are all sweet looking bikes I wish mine had the goldish rims like the one in the pic.
Weldangrind- Now I have to go back and find that sneaky Wal Drug sticker. I loved that place when we went through SD about two years ago. SD is the only place Ive ever been with a 80 MPH speedlimit whats not to love about that.

JerryHawk250 - There seems to be a ton of mods for the Hawk I have not done much searching to see if there is a good place for the TMECs yet

I would be willing to bet that the Ebay exhaust would fit and rejecting the Carb would be the best mods.

This is the sprocket I bought for my TMEC from this place; heck, my review is still there, LOL. Like I mentioned, I would have preferred a 46 or 44 but this is as good as it gets for the TMEC. I bought a chain cutter from Harbor Freight to take out a few links, but I don't recall how many I took out.

For reference, direct from the JT catalog is the series of sprockets and bikes for reference.

My buddy just got back from training and took my bike for ride now he wants one. This was his first time on a. Ike and after a few stalls he fell in love.
