holy crap. thank God you survived. When did this happen? With 16 bones mending are you in any shape to be wrenching? How many surgeries to put you back together?
With that kind of lick I wouldn't us many of the chassis parts. Just get a new one and call the motor a spare. |

Hey Ojorax,
Sorry to hear about the crash. I hope the recovery process goes well! If I hear of any Hawks with a blown motor, I’ll send them your way. Get well soon!

Damn dude, I crashed on my HAWK as well last summer.. i was riding down a street (30-35mph) and A damn dog plowed into the side of ME. Blind siding me and taking the bike out from under me. I slammed on my left side and blew my collar bone out. Needed surgery, plate and screws. As for the HAWK, not too bad. The front rim bent from the 10-20ft slide on concrete, the foot peg bent and the head light and plastics got pretty messed up. Thankfully the only main replacements I needed were a new rim and foot peg. under $150 for those. Glad to know you made it out alive. The only thing that saved my ass was my helmet. Had I not had one I would have been knocked out lying on a desolate road at dawn with who knows what kind of brain damage, for who knows how long. |
