Aftermarket CDI unit experiences?

I was wondering if anyone uses or had luck with the Casoli aftermarket CDI boxes on the Zong 250 engine?

I'm tuning the bike with the stock CDI on the left and it idles fine but if I don't change anything and plug in the Casoli unit the bike has a much harder time starting and when it does it idles but burps and farts a bit while idling.

They say the Casoli unit is suppose to advance the timing curve a bit but still have the rev limiter built in.

I can try and tune with the casoli unit but it will require setting the carb a lot different than the stock CDI unit. Wondering if it even worth running the Casoli unit?
