I agree, the alarm is annoying. It's very sensitive, which makes sense since it's an alarm. But, it's not like your car alarm...if it's "alarming" and you put the key in the ignition and turn it, it will not disable the alarm. You either have to press the button on the key fob, or wait like 20 seconds and it will stop (but it's still engaged). Only the button on the key fob will disengage the alarm. What happens if the key fob runs out of battery and I'm out somewhere? I'm stuck because turning the key won't disengage it

Also, the remote start is lame for a bike that has a choke.

I would like to disable the remote start but I haven't seen a definite guide on how to do this. I'd rather have a clear idea of what I'm doing will definitely work before cutting wires.

Can you explain how and what the alarm does?
When the alarm is engaged you can not start the bike with the remote?
Can you kick start it?

I still have my bike apart and I can look at the wiring.

So what do you want to change in regards to the alarm / starting ?

I'd like to remove it so that I don't have it. I only want to use the key; no alarm.
