Help with Quad Identification

Hello All,

New to the forum here. Recently I have been doing some research on some of the cheap Chinese made quads to get my son into riding. Though my google researching I found this forum to be extremely helpful, so I joined!

So one thing leads to another and now I am looking to buy one for myself....

I found a Chinese made quad, local to me for sale that I am going to look at tomorrow and was hoping the forum could help me Identify the name brand by the pictures I have attached. I am sure the title will tell me but I wanted to do some research before seeing it tomorrow. Here whats I know so far:
-250CC
-Less than year old
-4x2?
-Automatic & Reverse
-Look like its in pretty good condition

Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. That is similar to the Coolster DX2. That's not a 250cc but a GY6 150cc motor. But it's a good quad. for a 150cc it will have more than enough power.

Thanks Jerry, so it is a 150. He told me 250 but I haven't been able to find anything on it in my research. It doesn't look like a Tao Tao or Coolster so what else could it be?

I did find this and it looks like the same style with the yellow springs.

Is there anything I should look for while checking it out tomorrow?

Welcome to the forum RocknRoman. Be sure and visit the ATV section here for lots of good information about these quads.

It does indeed look like a 150 cc with a belt drive similar to a Coolster or Kandi. Check the Vin plate for date of manufacture and other info when you go look at it. Just curious, how much is he asking?

If its the Kymoto then it will be the GY6 169cc. Still a very reliable engine. It should have the manufacture on the Vin tag up front.
