Well, I'm happy to report that the new generator (scarecrow) did its job perfectly! We had a pouring rain last night with gusts up to almost 60 mph all night....and never lost power!

I was reading about grass Valley and all the rain y'all have got this winter. It's a good thing barring any more sinkholes.

The scarecrow theory work and has kept the hurricanes away for a few years lol. But not so lucky last night when the thunderstorms rolled through. Lightening struck a power pole and blew a transformer. nocked power out for 3 hours. I rolled out my generator , plugged it in and fired her up. Flipped main and AC off then flipped on generator. Whooohoooo! let there be light. lol

Wow! That made news all the way out in Texas!? Yah...pretty big hole. probably won't be the last. After years of drought, I'm sure the ground has tons of areas for water to accumulate and collapse. Trees are falling like dominos from years of no water at the roots.....and add the bark beetle problem to the tens of thousands of pines we lost (my neighbor alone lost 26 pines on 10 acres)...that are still standing and PG&E has been busy.
