Better Front Brakes for the Hawk?
Does anyone know of some better / replacement pads for the front brake on the Hawk?
My rear brake is awesome, but my front brake needs ALOT of force applied to slow the bike down. Thanks guys! Last edited by mq1991; 04-27-2016 at 10:33 PM. |

Give the pads a bit more wear, they will improve.

Have you bled the brakes and swapped out to a 'known DOT brake fluid'?
I had some similar braking when we first got the Mrs. 'Bashan WILL', it took a few 'brake bleeding' sessions with new DOT4 fluid to 'stiffen up' the front brake, I also took the front caliper apart, clean/lubed/reassembled it to make sure it wasn't binding/stuck anywhere.

Can you sand them with sandpaper to restore them?
