To someone who hasn't ridden in many years, this might look like a bargain, especially when compared with a new Honda. Shame on any buyer who pays this amount without researching.

I sometimes peruse Craigslist in Los Angeles and Phoenix. On the L.A. Craigslist, there is this. Not as outrageous as a $1600 bike for $2400, but it should come down to research, especially considering Simi Valley is a little over an hour away from CSC headquarters, but come to think of it, weren't the 2015's going for high $2000's? Plus, no photo. Maybe MORE outrageous than the Bashan...

I know, going off topic, but Louis, have you seen the Denali 125fx?--it looks like a Grom clone, and is either made by Zongshen since it is a dead-ringer for their Rapido, or TMEC buys them as knock-down kits and assembles them as their own brand. The reason I mention it is because it appears to use a semi-auto transmission, rather than a full-manual tranny like your Grom. It is probably too late, as I know you ordered the Icebear trike for your wife since she is not a clutch person http://www.sunright.net/linhai-scooters (shows the MSRP as half of the Grom)

http://www.sunright.net/linhai-scooters/denali-125%20FX

Back on track--They MSRP for $1599 as shown above, but I bet I can get one for you for $2500...

Hahaha! Funny!
Well, on top of her not being able to clutch, she also has about as much balance as a sewing needle stood up on end.
AND, , , does not have the leg strength to even push the tiny Grom backwards.
So, in truth, , , an automatic, trike, with reverse, is really the only
option for her. :-/
.
As for a good deal, I just seen a used 2010 Vespa 150 for sale by owner for $3600. ( KBB DEALER RETAIL value is $3200 )
.
