Yes, but the Midwest folks seem to have a healthy dose of common sense,(thus allowing registration ) unlike some other states.

Im also in Illinois! Right near the WI/IL border near Gurnee IL.

I commute to Palatine for work 3 days a week though.

I feel for you Illinois folks. My family resided in McHenry County since 1899 and we all got out in 1999. I read an article the other day that many peoples property taxes are becoming more than their mortgage payments per month. That's just crazy and probably a huge reason the state had a net loss in residents last year. I think the state going bankrupt is inevitable. Glad i got out, Wish you die hards a lot of luck!......

we are not die hard, they just take so much money from us we dont have the money to move ...

We had that happening in Indiana too they put it in our states constitution that 1% for your home 2% for rental property i think and 3% for farmland. Could be the other way around on farm and rental property only cost us 2% more on sales tax.
