Shaft drive anybody?
Shaft drive anybody? Reverse gear (5 fwd and 5 reverse) anybody? Lifan CG clone 200cc, fitted with factory bevel box, enabling reverse and shaft drive. Used in 3 wheeler "Tuk Tuks" etc. About $55 over the base price for a chain drive motor. Not much use off road , but i thought you guys might like something a bit different. Chain drive motors, boxed, c/w starter motor, carb, cdi, all neccessary wiring retail currently @ $389. |

That's an attachment that I've been considering. I'd love to build a three-wheeled truck, like Lifan makes.

Can you label those pedals? I am just curious what I am looking at.

The upper toggles between forward and reverse. The lower is a standard shifter, although this one has a heel shifter as well. I'd promptly get rid of the heel shifter.

Is the reverse/shaft drive box something that just bolts on to a standard CG engine?

With a truck like rear tilting buck, RRP is $1950. Bit more for one that can carry 6 passengers in two rows of seats with a roof. Australian guy over here imports them direct from China, can get 40 in a 40' container, pre-packed, serious assy req'd this end.

When I read the thread title I was not a believer, but after seeing the pics I stand corrected
![]() What a great efficient little powerplant for a light duty budget cargo hauler, or people hauler for that matter, as long as comfort and top speed are not a priority. |

I've been considering a three-wheeled truck build for some time, but the rear axle has me stumped. Short of buying a rear axle out of an old Japanese rear-drive car and narrowing it, I'm not sure what to use. Shipping a new axle from China is cost-prohibitive for this project.
