Dan, is that your garage? If so, where did you get the silver insulation that's on the garage door?

Tim My Tourfella luggage has a label that says 10Kg and the top box says 5Kg sounds a little light. The Tusk on my friends KLR650 are the same for the panniers 10Kg each. hope it helps good luck

Had I not already purchased the Tourfella panniers, I'd certainly be interested in a set-up that provides the same functionality as the Tourfellas, but at a lower price.
Cheers, Dan K.

I've seen this before, he attached expanded polystyrene boards with a reflective side inward. Really helps if you have a radiative heater in the garage, reflecting heat back at you. http://www.lowes.com/pd_41505-46086-...sulation+board |

Danimal, I don't disagree. I was pointing out that the increased capacity would allow for a greater weight to be loaded on the bike.

Looks like some nice craftsmanship went into those panniers. Any thoughts to making a larger topcase as well? That would be of more interest to me than larger panniers.

A lot of us like the large, JC Whitney/Garage Pro Travel Trunks.
This travel trunk locks to the luggage rack with a metal mounting plate, and is easily removed when desired. Also, you can't beat the price. I paid $36, delivered, for my last travel trunk.

A friend has made a plastic welding for his RX3 top case.He said it cost him about 20 dollars .He says he did it for his helmet. As u know original case is too small for a helmet. I am not looking for a bigger case but may be this can give a good idea who are interested in.May be it will work better for side cases. I think it will look better.☺.

That's a beautiful job. How much did it cost?
I do like the fact I can quickly remove the J.C. Whitney travel trunk whenever I please.
