Sharp bike! The Gio that was sold in Canada was quite similar. Do you have the 21/18 wheels or the 19/17?

Thanks for replys
Hi guys
Many thanks for comments and replys The bike was marketed in UK under Suda brand but is an Apollo AGB 30B Used to ride a Kawasaki 250 single in the 80,s so this has rekindled the interest in bikes. Second hand bikes in UK are very expensive so looked to Chinese bikes and when this came up. Just in process if tiding up and a few parts replacing. Have replaced throttle and brake levers and in process of refurbing carb as need cleaning. Engine runs well but with cleaned out carburettor it should run better Running with 17/19 wheels. They don't seem to be available now in UK but there are lots of similar parts that can be purchased in UK. Lots more cleaning and checking over during the winter before we get bike running |

I'm interested to find out if your bike has a Mikuni carb.

Hi
Currently bike has a Jing ke carburetor but I am thinking of getting a Mukuni VM 24 carburetor as this is the same size as the Jing. The Jing has a 24mm sliding throttle and the Mukuni VM 24 has the same and manifold bolt fixings are same. Can get them in UK for £37 but would have to get a jet kit and try it. I have seem some use a 115 main jet but not sure if it was with Zengshon 250 engine. If anyone has used a Mukuni VM 24 carb I would be interested. Regards Rickorider |

Hi
Thanks for comments. Yes it is more of a fun bike as its quite heavy. It's very solid and well built but tricky to get at carb but its so much cheaper than buying a Honda or Suzuki. There are loads of parts available in UK though if frame parts needed replacing I think that would be difficult. It's marketed under different names so may be available where you are but under a different name. Not sure its available in UK anymore as can't locate any dealers or importers. Have taken all plastics off and battery so it does look a but mean. Will be fitting new Mukuni carb as soon as new jets arrive and fitting some new parts over winter should be running for spring. |

I can see in the photos what you mean about getting to the carb , looks like a real shit of a place .
Would not mind seeing it with all the plastics fitted ?. Brian. |

If you do a Google search under Apollo AGB 30 Dirt bike you will find lots of photos with all plastics on.
I'm going to run mine without any plastics as they have faded a bit and I prefer the simple no frills look. Yes to get at carb you have to take off fuel tank as that's the only way in. Another reason for not having the plastics. That's the only down side to the bike other that being quite heavy. Some people run down Chinese bikes and say they brake easy but this is really solid. The frame is from approximately 1/8" thick steel and you would have hit something really hard to bend it! So we will have some fun on it!! |
