street legal ??

is the LF200GY-5 street legal in california ?

and what about the zong shen Sierra 200 Dual Sport ??

if the lifan isnt street legal i will get a suzuki 200 maybee

I don't believe the Lifan is legal in CA. Hardly any of the China DS's are. If you have the $4000 for a Jap bike, don't look twice at one of the China DS's. The Suzuki is an awesome bike, go for it.

This place in San Diego say they can register the Qlink XF200 for California.

Someone just recently had asked which Chinese bikes are California legal, and had a place in Orange County that can supposedly register one of the Roketa models. Search the threads for the link.

UM (formerly known as United Motors) has two Calif. registerable dual sports, one is a motard and the other an enduro, but they are getting up there in price, and wouldn't be much savings over the Suzuki, although part of the high cost goes to a warranty that is even better than Suzuki's.

No, the Lifans don't even qualify for an off-road sticker!
