No, it must be the piston spring. Pull the head off and attach the spring to the bottom of the piston to the crank, then re-assemble! Do it QUICK!

The flat piece just connects to one of the headlight fairing bolts.
If you have no power check the mainfuse and then connections. Allen

It is an odd size, But You should be able to find one by measurment.
If not try a 9 series battery. That should be close enough in size. An ETX9 seemed to be almost right for these.

It should start and run without the battery in it at all. That's the way I've been running mine all this summer. I just put some electrical tape over the battery leads. Headlight is a little dim at night but otherwise it runs just fine.
In this cooler weather, I have better luck starting it with a push start on a hill. Where in Central PA are you? I'm in Mechanicsburg right accross the river from Harrisburg.

You might just need to turn the idle up.

Can You Help me out on the rear end?
Hey Mick,
I just got one of these things too. Mine came with rear swing arms bolted to the packing crate and no instructions for the rear disc brake and the spacers go together on the axle bolt. Did you get yours together? Could you tell me the order and the position of the brake? A pic would be great!! Haven't tried to start it yet. I'm hoping I don't share your battery problem. Thanks.
