Tao Tao 125 ATV gearing
Just purchased a Tao 125 Cheetah ATV and was wanting to add a little more to the acceleration. I've read changing the front sprocket to 12 tooth and back to a 42 Tooth would help. My question is would I be able to tell much of a diff with changing the front to a 12 T and leaving the stock 37 Tooth on the back?
Thanks |

You will feel a difference by dropping the front sprocket 1 tooth and leaving the rear stock.

Also once the engine gets loosened up it will help a lot. The 125 is only a model Taotao only uses the 107cc engine. Maybe a new adjustable carb might help also. On my 125f1 going from 13 tooth to 12 tooth front help bunches.

Sprockets always are a better bang for the buck than trying to "Tune" more power into the motor. Whygostock has a huge selection of sprockets with tech drawings so you know you are ordering the correct size for any Chinese ATV.

125
on the models 125 d ... they had a 125 cc motor... this year because of the dollar.. they put in the 110 cc motor... you can check on the web site... as a dealer I know this... I am sure most of the other 125 models until this year were the 125 cc motor.. not really that much difference for 15 cc.. now if you have the 150 that is different .. if you change the carb jets that would make up the diff
