There is space between the rear hub and the wheel

I swapped motors s I had to adjust the chain and I dont know if I messed up my rear hub. There is a small space between the wheel and the brake hub on the exhaust side. Should they be tight? Do I do sometihng wrong?

Thanks,
Nick

Picture?

Assuming you have all the parts there, there shouldn't be any space. The swing arm tends to spring outward slightly, could that be your problem? If so, just tighten the axle nut to pull it together.
