Hi beam not working
Installed a new bulb and it's still not working - just the low beam. Anyone else had this problem?

I had a bad ground wire in the headlight wire. Both Hi and lo would stop working until I jiggled the wires. I added another ground and it has been fine. If you have an ohm meter check to see if the wire is good in the headlight harness. Also see if you are getting any power to to the hi beam circuit.
A decent gigital multi-meter can be found at walmart for about $20. Allen

My stock bulb had one of the tabs broke on it so I assumed that was the problem. Put in the new bulb and it still didn't work. :(

I would check to see if you are getting power to the hi beam side first. You can also check the new bulb with an ohm meter to make sure it is good, but I think it is a wiring problem.

Harbor freight runs a special on digital multi-meters for $3-4, I have one in each vehicle and in my son's boat. For light and trailer plugs they work great.

Fixed it. I forgot that I hooked up aux lights to my hi beam quite awhile ago (they didn't work because of low to no power). The wire came undone.
Fixed it along with some solder this time. |
