Top speed depends largely on sprocket selection. Sprocket selection depends largely on the kind of riding you want to do. Top speed is anything from 45->74. I only have a 150cc bike and my top speed is 60-> 65. But with a 2.47 final gear ratio I ain't going to break records going up hill. N2r.

I have done 71mph according to my GPS. 17/45. This was done following a semi on I-85 in SC.

I think pumpkin may have the stock 17/46 on his.

Buck,
You said you picked the bike up in Ft Worth I am curious who you got it from. I may know a dealer here in Dallas that could help you with parts. I am just hoping it is not the same guys.

Buck, are you talking about the tachometer wire or the speedo cable? As far as I know the tach should just run off a wire (or 3) which is easily replaced or repaired. The speedo is another matter.

Zerk size?

For those who asked me to put up a pic,I have one posted in the gallery now of my 150gy. Now for a couple of questions, are the grease zerks on the swing arm all 6mm? I am trying to find one thats threaded right so I can grease the bolt, dont have a chinese grease gun! Also, what size wrench is everyone using on the oil screen plug under the shifter? Someone said 23mm but thats not it,I bought one and its too small, must be 24 or 25.
Still waiting on the dealer but guess I will order a new tach cable from Brian when he gets back to me.
So far,so good, haven't had any other problems yet, fixing to start internet shopping for spare bulbs, spoke wrench, etc. Have a good one everyone,Buck

You may need to change that grease fitting. It doesn't fit our grease guns too well. I managed to squeeze some through it, but I need to replace it.
