Hey Trevort, are the hotcams something I should look into doing? Or is that more of a racing thing that isn't practical for the type of riding I do, which is just mostly cruising county back roads and a little off-road. I do ride pretty hard though and get into it a lot... Love to get this bike to keep the front tire off the ground.

You may or may not have these but here are some of the classic standbys for carb tuning.

it goes like this
read, read, read, sleep, subconscious analyzes, wake up, carbie zen master! looks like Trevort has really worked his bike setup to death but you just need to find it all. sure wish this forum had a little different feature set that i have grown to like on other sites. |

One of the biggest probelms is all the bad advice or wrong part numbers when searching for information on the Xf/Xp bikes, your bike is really a bored out Drz125 engine and shares little to nothing with the Dr200. With the stock gearing or a little larger you can clutch up wheelies with a little practice but with 15,16-44 gearing there's no way a wheelie is ever gonna happen. The Hotcams stage 2 cam is a great item but if you're expecting power wheelies and incredible acceleration it's not happening either. Even though this is a "china bike" I have never treated it as such and give it the same attention as my race bikes and if you notice from my pictures my Q is wearing a Ktm headlight from my 535 exc. Keep the oil changed, clean the filters and on occassion check the valves and your bike will last for years to come.

Trevort, thanks for that clarification. I had forgotten about the DRZ125 relationship.

That looks really good. I'd like to try a SM some day.

Yeah new exhaust. I had to get a little creative with the mounting brackets, the bottom brace to found a piece of steel that I bent and drilled to make work. But I couldn't find anything for the top bracket except a half a door hinge..lol it's pretty funny, it's working good for now until I can have my metal guy fab a bracket.. Anyone know if pro circuit makes extensions? I would love to move the silencer back 3" it would mount right to the frame and look better I think.
