From my airplane forum. Very good observation on Flyhound's part.

Check the sky occasionally for predators!

Death from above.
The Air Force did not name the F-22 the "Raptor" for nothing!

Believe it or not my 7 kilos cat had a brawl with an eagle that probably mistaken her for a rabbit. They both got away with scratches only, but i'm proud how she held her self lashing out on diving eagle like a boss then when the eagle struck the ground (he kinda went off balance when damn ''rabbit'' got his claws out and shoot himself up on oncoming predator with many sharp teeth gleaming) he had to gain some speed to climb back at the sky...some chase across the yard it was.
after it was over she spent days hidden in the bushes observing the sky Don't let her size fool you...she's still an admirable athlete And this must be why he misteken her for a rabbit |

7 kilos! That's a big cat. I'm glad she fought off the eagle.

I'm proud of your cat also. FastDoc is correct. That is a beautiful cat, and you are an excellent photographer. What is your cat's name?

Her name is Mau (only thing she let out of her mouth when we found her)
Here's one that had a close encounter with a Mau - white-tailed eagle (shot taken day after...not sure that wing looked like that before ) This time he stayed pretty high above so my camera zoom couldn't do any better |

Related. 11 of my chickens are gone. Believed to be a fox. Only got 3 left.

I'm sorry to hear of the predator, Allen. I suggest you do something fast, or you will lose the final three chickens. Aren't the chickens safe inside their coop?
