Zong Q 200gy Questions

My son got this in a trade and I thought I would see if I could get it to run.

The side of the Engine says Zong Q but the plastic body work says Lianfei.

I'm looking for part sources, manuals, advice......

If you could please post some pictures of the bike, and the engine, we should be able to figure this out for you in short order. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome; we are glad you joined us.

I believe you posted the engine serial number, not the VIN. The plastic indicates you have a Lianfei bike. Based upon the following threads, I think you have a generic, Chinese dual sport with a Honda cloned engine.

Please do post photos of your bike, and the bike's engine. The photos will help us to verify the identification of your motorcycle.

Ignore the jumper cables. Seems the last owner started it that way or maybe was asking somebody where Bin Laden was.

Welcome to the forum! As with most Honda clones, the actual manufacturer is largely immaterial. Yours is a copy of an OHC Honda (just like an XR200), but with the addition of electric start. The frame is very much like a later model XR200 with a Pro-link monoshock.

That bike has potential.

It uses the OHC version of the Honda clone 200 engine, so just like an XR200 but with a 5 speed (not 6) and electric start.

Human thanks for the manual but I hated the ilivid format.

Is the bike so much of a clone that I can order Honda parts?

I think it may have potential too but mistreated a little. Several of the levers have been broken or removed and the cover was held on with zip ties.

That bike appears to have been more than mistreated. Hated maybe :-(

Many Honda parts can be used, some are not interchangeable. Depends. Let us know what you need when you need it, or make a shopping list of sorts and we will guide you.

I need a kick start lever to determine if I'm getting spark. I need a shift lever too. Will Honda fit these?

I would only use Honda parts whenever it was completely necessary, or I was in a big hurry to get them. Why pay Honda prices, especially for discontinued models, when you can pay Chinese prices. All the parts you need can be found at eBay, Hooper Imports, Roketa.com, Taobao, et cetera.

We can help you find whatever part you need. However, owning a Chinese motorcycle requires patience, adaptability, and a good sense of humor. Otherwise, one's efforts, and money, would be better spent on a used, Japanese bike.

I'm not in a hurry just anxious that I couldn't find parts. It eases my mind that I can start looking and ordering some stuff.

Thanks for the sources.
