Tms offroad 50cc > fun toy
3rd attempt!
Last 2 attempt ended with no battery and blackness on phone just before post. Anyway this is an Tms offroad 50cc project. Engine is replaced with 230cc pushrod 167fmm engine. Tires are 140/18 rear and 110/18 front. Its like running a wave kinda. Carb replaced and it has baotian 6pin Cdi now. Most wiring is remade after a mess with anycolor and ducktape solution. Some paint job and replaced cheap parts that does Not vibrate or has loose parts in them. It runs very very nice, really impressed by engine after adjusting everything! Starts every morning same sec you hit start button and idle is really stable and can be very low. Made my own exaust of stainless steel cuz thats something i work with on work. It made the biggest difference in performance. Before it would pull good up to 4000rpm, after it pulls all way to 7000 i guess. Stock exaust has some wierd catalysator...amazingly bad idea. Found an cheap Koso Rx2n multi tacometer that i will try mount this evening. With a bit unlegal scooter then i least want to hold correct speed on a few cuz of police. Might be good, will update if anyone cares later. Just something to spend a few hours on in life and then move on to next idea, that can be a boat or computer or whatever i stumple upon. And much more.. Last edited by matasar; 07-16-2013 at 01:07 PM. |

Very cool! May we please see a close-up of the exhaust?
I would like to learn more about the tach. Do you have a link for it? Did you lace the front rim yourself?

excellent looking bike! colour scheme + style are great without being over the top, ie still practical.
do you have a front view and link for the double headlights? which carb a you running? how wide is your header pipe? is your muffler unrestricted or do you have a baffle plate or silencer? would also like to know more about the tach and how you wire it. how much does the tms 50 weigh originally? yours could be quite a rocket.

Rims are stock. Painted with black can and striped with red tape. Then
clear finish is sprayed on. Im from Sweden and dont know all words Exaust is 33mm and i used the plate and first piece "30mm or so" from stock exaust. The catalysator made the engine and exaust very hot. Will update with more. Pics. There are a few in album. Need a new holder for tach. I hate the look. Wiring koso will take time. It show speed with magnet sensor and gears and alot more. Also oiltemp watertemp etc. See for tach. Last edited by matasar; 07-17-2013 at 07:21 AM. |

Wow, $400 is a little steep for my Scottish China-riding heart. Nice gauge though.
I tried to click on your vid, but it said it was private.
