2007 Konker 250cc
Hi Folks..
I ws given a 2007 Konker 250cc for a winter project. Motor is toast and looking for a new one. Is there any distributors here in Canada that sells a motor/parts ect to fit this bike? Over all the bike is in good shape and is a great winter project for me and my son. |

Welcome. I don't know about Canadian suppliers, but I am sure we can help with the resurrection.

depending on your budget, i would want to but a more recent engine in it instead of rebuilding it. Lifan 200cc engine is about 500$ and a Gio 250cc engine is about 700$ brand new of course....
chinapartdepot could maybe help you... best of luck with your project

Hi BDIAgencies! Thanks for checking in.
Is it a pushrod motor? What about it is toast? Does it have compression?

I thought Konkers were 200cc Suzukis?

I hadn't considered that. You're probably right.

The 250 is strictly a dirt bike. Liquid cooled and very temperamental from what I understand. The fellow that I bought my Konker off of had one, and he couldn't get the dealer prep to the point where he was comfortable selling it so I think he kept it... Not sure about parts either, perhaps Pitster Pro Canada would have parts? Might be worth a check Edit: Looked up a few on Kijiji, looks like the 2007's were still air cooled, I think the one I was looking at was a 2009 Edit 2: Okay, I'm out to lunch on this one I guess  Googled it and came up with supermoto street legal versions that Konker sold in 2007. I never knew they made a 250 s/m. I know by 2009 the 250 was strictly dirt though! |

Push rod...kick start snapped off flushed with motor. Electric start doesnt work...Compression??? Who knows. I tried jump starting it but it doesn't even come close to compression...I would say no to the compression Q
My guess it would be easier to buy a new motor. It looks like the bike is similar to the Orion Apolo bikes. |

Do you have any interest in splitting the case to replace the shaft?

I'm thinking both starting mechanisms are broken because the motor is broken.
It may be worth it to look for a parts bike with a running engine or a new or used motor to repower it.

Its time for some pics. A 200cc engine may be a bolt in.
