If all else fails it is a case of centre punch it and drill it out - then retap the hole - tricky because of getting the right alignment...:?

Glad to see you got it out, I had the same thing happen on mine. I tryed to vise grips and only managed to chew it off little by little. I ended up finding a nut that would slide over it and welded it on. Added a little heat to the head and wrenched it out
