Nice bike.
It was a breakthrough in several ways. It proved the addage that 'Light Makes Right'. You don't need a lot of HP if the weight is low. It had a revolutionary at the time aluminum frame and single sided swingarm. No bodywork. Clean and simple. It was also comfortable and good on gas and with a 3 valve (hydraulic IIRC) Honda V-Twin it was reliable. It spawned the SuperHawk, TS/TL 100, and the venerable V-Strom 650/1000 and the SV series as well. Good bike. 8)

Old bike in great shape. Small, light, nimble and fun. Feels like you're riding a powerful supermoto. Slices right through the wind like a hot knife through butter. I think about selling it but my wife tells me to keep it. Good advice! It's just that it's a "boring" bike because I don't want to mod it much at all.

That's a nice looking bike. It gives you the feeling that it's all you really need.

Did you just acquire this bike? That's a nice looking bike which appears to be in very good condition.

I've probably had it about a year.
I've put quite a few new parts on it that were just time for, like new carb boots, sprockets, H20 pump, etc. Added heated grips, bar end mirrors which give it a nice look, 520 conversion with gold chain, manual override for the fan as I feel the engine gets too hot before the fan kicks on.

Took a couple pics of the "mistress" and the "brawler".

Nice bikes. Different stages of development on the same concept. The Hawk GT started it all, and still looks and I bet rides great. 8)
