What's new on Canada's China bike scene?
Hey guys,
Are there any new GY-5 or Konker-style bikes on the Canadian scene? I've been keeping my eyes open, haven't really seen anything. |

It's nice to hear from you, Zack. I was hoping you were going to tell us what was new!

I'm not sure about GY-5 style bikes but Visionary Motorsports is going to be bringing in a couple of bikes made by Qingqi under the Pitster Pro name. Both supermoto's to my knowledge, but there is supposed to be an enduro kit coming out for them as well. The first one out will be the XTR200, I think they're hoping for a shipment in March. It is pretty much an identical machine to the Konker KSM200 but will have a rear disc brake and I believe an oil cooler. I think they're also hoping to get in a slightly larger model, the XTR250 in early summer though I'm not sure of the date. Both bikes are Qingqi so the quality should be top notch. The pics look really good! They also have a CT70 clone out called the Classic 125. I think it's a rebadged Sky Team bike so the quality should be very good on that one as well. They also posted pics of the Sky Team ACE on Facebook so I think they are considering carrying more Sky Team products. It'll be great to have them carrying the Qingqi bikes, that means that the people who bought the Konker KSM200 will be able to get parts again. From what I understand that's been pretty difficult. Should be interesting to see the bikes, they look great in pictures 8) |

I do know that Johnny Pag is bringing new 350s and a 650 into Canada, working on an 1800 :!: :!: V-twin as well. As for Visionary - I'm pretty sure they're just bringing in the same Quinqi that Konker did ... for now, anyway. |

Hey Mic et al -
as some know I am doing work for Visionary - aka Linhai, Pitster Pro Canada. Yes as Mic said the 200 is arriving any week now (should be here end april LATEST). From what I heard they're sticking with the 200 for reliability - SUPER solid engine and they are putting a huge focus on proven engines and bikes. In addition to the supermoto and the "classic 125" (rebadged sky team) they are also bringing in another couple sky team bikes starting with the PBR 125. The folks at Visionary are HUGE road-legal bike fans and there will be a lot more coming to Canada in the next year - all really good quality, proven machines. Last year the classic 125 was the only road legal bike they had, and in 1 month that will grow to 3. I'll just say that by this time next year there will be double that. So there will be more china bike news to come, 100% guaranteed! I'm pretty excited about it - got my moto learners last week and I couldn't wipe the grin off my face for a day. Not sure if I should be posting this somewhere else but I thought I'd respond here. |

The QLink/Konker/Qingqi is a great little bike! Please post lots of photographs after the bike arrives, ND.
If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the motorcycle rider safety course. Spud
